After 1 year and a half of the Life VIABLE project, fourth meeting with the partners in Pau
Our bi-annual meeting took place this week in Pau, with all the project partners. Some people left, some new people have joined us but we are still on tracks!
Next time, we will go to Westlake to see where the epoxy resin will be produced
Need for more sustainable epoxies – lignin based developments
VITO together with the collaborators of Greece made a short critical review that gives an insight on the potential that lignin and its bio-oils present towards the production of thermosetting epoxy polymers and composites.
Pilot on site and start up planned by September 2023
VITO has been designing, and constructing the LignoValue pilot plant since 2018 and the pilot has been installed on site at VITO’s location in Mol, Belgium. It is now ready for operation. Meanwhile the site is also been developed, to ensure available utilities for continuous operation from September 2023 onwards.
