Presentation of VITO's team

Let's bring the light on VITO’s research group of Sustainable Polymers Technology (SPOT), who is leading the LIFE VIABLE project.

They are focused on:
- the selection of the best lignin source in terms of solubility, depolymerization viability, functionalization yields
- the optimization of the process at lab scale in order to deliver the best material for epoxy resin-based composites fabrication and
- scale up of the lignin depolymerization technique in the LignoValue pilot plant by September of 2023 (you can slighty see it behind 😉).
